ਅਨੁਸ਼ਕਾ ਅਸਥਾਨਾ
ਅਨੁਸ਼ਕਾ ਅਸਥਾਨਾ (ਜਨਮ 1980) ਇੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਟੀਵੀ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਦੀ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਹੈ।

ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਲਿੰਕਨਸ਼ਾਇਰ ਦੇ ਸਕੁਨਥੋਰਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਮਾਨਚੈਸਟਰ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਲੀਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।[1] ਉਸਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਡਾਕਟਰ, 1970 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ, ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਕਿੰਗਡਮ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।[2] ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਸਕੂਲ ਮੈਨਚੈਸਟਰ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਫਾਰ ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਂਟ ਜੌਨਜ਼ ਕਾਲਜ, ਕੈਮਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ।[3]

ਅਸਥਾਨਾ 2003 ਵਿੱਚ ਦ ਆਬਜ਼ਰਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਜਨਰਲ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ 2006 ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਸਟਰਨ ਫੈਲੋਸ਼ਿਪ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗਟਨ ਪੋਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਬਿਤਾਏ।[1] ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਕਾਈ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਸੀ।[4][5]
ਪੈਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਵਿੰਟੂਰ ਦੇ ਉਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀਥਰ ਸਟੀਵਰਟ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ, ਦਿ ਗਾਰਡੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ 2016 ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ[6][7]
23 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2017 ਤੋਂ, ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਨੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸਟਨ ਦੇ ਸਹਿ-ਪ੍ਰਸਤੁਤਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਐਲੇਗਰਾ ਸਟ੍ਰੈਟਨ ਦੀ ਜਣੇਪਾ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਰ ਕੀਤਾ।[8] ਸਤੰਬਰ 2018 ਤੋਂ, ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਨੇ ITV ਦੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਫਲੈਗਸ਼ਿਪ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਪੇਸਟਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿ-ਪ੍ਰਸਤੁਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਸਾਲ ਉਸਨੇ ਫੋਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪੋਡਕਾਸਟ ਟੂਡੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦ ਗਾਰਡੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਰੀ ਯੰਗ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ-ਐਟ-ਲਾਰਜ ਵਜੋਂ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।[9][10]
ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਨੇ ਰਾਬਰਟ ਪੇਸਟਨ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਈਟੀਵੀ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾਰਡੀਅਨ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।[11][12] ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਬੀਸੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਦੀ ਖਾਲੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਆਈਟੀਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਰਹੀ।[13]
