ਚਾਰੀਕਾਰ (Persian: چاریکار, ਉਚਾਰਨ Chârikâr) ਉੱਤਰ-ਪੂਰਬੀ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੋਹਦਾਮਨ (ਮਤਲਬ: ਪਹਾੜ ਦਾ ਦਾਮਨ) ਨਾਮਕ ਵਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਰਬੰਦ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।[3]

ਚਾਰੀਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਜਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਤਾਜਿਕ ਸਮੁਦਾਏ ਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਉਜਬੇਕ ਲੋਕ, ਕਿਜਿਲਬਾਸ਼​ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਦਾਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[4] ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕਾਬੁਲ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ 69 & nbsp ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਹੈ। ਮਜ਼ਾਰ-ਏ-ਸ਼ਰੀਫ਼, ਕੁੰਦੂਜ ਜਾਂ ਪੁਲ ਏ ਖ਼ੁਮਰੀ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਲਈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਚਾਰੀਕਾਰ ਕੋਲ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਸ਼ੀਰ ਵਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਤਿਹਾਸ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਮਧ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰੀਕਾਰ ਖਵਾਰੇਜਮੀ ਸਾਮਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸੀ। ਸੰਨ 1220 ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੇਜ ਖ਼ਾਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗੋਲ ਫੌਜ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਲੇਕਿਨ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਵਾਰੇਜਮੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਜਲਾਲੁੱਦੀਨ ਮਿੰਗਬੁਰਨੁ (Jalal ad-Din Mingburnu) ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਟੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਫੋਜਾਂ ਖਵਾਰੇਜਮੀ ਸਾਮਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਬੱਚ ਸਕੀਆਂ।[5] 19ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਨਸੰੱਖਿਆ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸੰਨ 1841 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਐਂਗਲੋ-ਅਫਗਾਨ ਯੁਧ ਦੇ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਰਤਾਨਵੀ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਛਾਉਣੀ ਤੈਨਾਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਪੱਗ 200 ਗੋਰਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ ਫੌਜੀ ਸਨ। ਕੁੱਝ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਕੇ ਲੱਗਪੱਗ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਕਾਮੀ ਕਬੀਲਾਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ।[6] ਉਸ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕ ਬਰਤਾਨਵੀ ਅਫਸਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਦ ਚਾਰੀਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਸਪਾਸ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।[7] 1979 - 89 ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਵੀਅਤ ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਬਰਦਸਤ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੋਈ।

14 ਅਗਸਤ 2011 ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਪੱਗ ਛੇ ਆਤਮਘਾਤੀ ਬੰਬਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਚਾਰੀਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਅਬਦੁਲ ਬਸ਼ੀਰ ਸਲੰਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਬਚ ਗਏ ਪਰ 19 ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਤਾਲਿਬਾਨ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਲਈ।[8]
