ਮੰਦਾਕਿਨੀ ਆਮਟੇ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਮਟੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ, ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵੀ ਹੈ।[1] ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਆਮਟੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 2008 ਵਿੱਚ 'ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ'[2] ਲਈ ਮੈਗਸੇਸੇ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਗੜ੍ਹਚਿਰੌਲੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਡੀਆ ਗੋਂਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਂਧਰਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕ ਬਿਰਾਦਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਲਪ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ। ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ।[1] ਉਹ ਬਾਬਾ ਆਮਟੇ ਦੀ ਨੂੰਹ ਹੈ।[1][3][4][5]

ਆਮਟੇ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮੰਦਾਕਿਨੀ ਦੇਸ਼ਪਾਂਡੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਨਾਗਪੁਰ[6] ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ MBBS ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜ (GMC), ਨਾਗਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੱਸਥੀਸੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੋਸਟ-ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।[6] ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼, ਉਸਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਤੀ, ਇੱਕ ਸਰਜਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਆਮਟੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਡਰ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਉਦੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਜਿਤ ਸੀ।[7][8]

ਆਮਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ 2008 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਲਈ ਮੈਗਸੇਸੇ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ:[9][10]

ਮੋਨੈਕੋ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲਿਟੀ ਨੇ 1995 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਮੰਦਾਕਿਨੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ - ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ 1955 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲਬਰਟ ਸ਼ਵੇਟਜ਼ਰ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੋਨਾਕੋ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਨਵਤਾਵਾਦੀ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਟੈਂਪ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਇੱਕ ਫ੍ਰੈਂਚ ਜੋੜਾ, ਗਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰੀਟ ਬਾਰਥਲੇਮੀ, ਜਿਸਨੇ 5ਵਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵੀਟਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਨੇ 1992 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਹੇਮਲਕਾਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਫ਼ਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਵੀਟਜ਼ਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਦੀਆਂ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਫਰਾਂਸੀਸੀ ਜੋੜੇ ਨੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮੋਨਾਕੋ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸ ਰੇਨੀਅਰ III ਨੂੰ ਐਮਟੇਸ ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕ ਟਿਕਟ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ 1995 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ[11][12]
