ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ (ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ੀ: Sobha Surendran) ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਭਾਜਪਾ) ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਕੇਰਲਾ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਹੈ। ਸੋਭਾ ਕੇਰਲ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਜਨੇਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਹੈ।[1] ਉਸਨੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਚੇਨਈ ਪੈਟਰੋਲੀਅਮ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਆਫ਼ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।[2][3][4]
ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜੀਵਨ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਾਦਕੰਚੇਰੀ, ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ, ਕੇਰਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।[5][6] ਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇਕੇ ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਵੀ ਵਡੱਕਨਚੇਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ।[7]
ਸਿਆਸੀ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਸੋਭਾ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੀ।[8] ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸੀ।[9] ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਬਾ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਪ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।[10]
ਚੋਣਾਂ[ਸੋਧੋ]
2016 ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੱਕ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 40,087 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।[11] ਸੋਭਾ, ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੂਬਾ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਟਿਕਟ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲੜ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਸਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਵੋਟ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।[12]
2019 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸੋਭਾ ਨੇ ਅਟਿੰਗਲ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਅਦੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ 'ਤੇ ਆਈ। 2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ 92000 ਅਤੇ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਟਿੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ 248000 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ।[13][14]
2021 ਵਿੱਚ, ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ, ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ ਨੇ ਤਿਰੂਵਨੰਤਪੁਰਮ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਜ਼ਕਕੂੱਟਮ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਡਕਮਪੱਲੀ ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ ਸੀਪੀਆਈ (ਐਮ) ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਰ ਗਈ।
ਵਿਵਾਦ[ਸੋਧੋ]
ਸੂਬਾ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਝਿਜਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[15][16][17][18] ਇੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਲੀਗ ਦਾ ਐਨਡੀਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੰਬਲਭੂਸਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਕੇ. ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਖੰਡਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[19][20][21] 2018 ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੰਨੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇ. ਸੁਰੇਂਦਰਨ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਰੋਸ ਮਾਰਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਸੋਭਾ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭੜਕਾਊ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਐਸਪੀ ਯਤੀਸ਼ ਚੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।[22] ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਰਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।[23]
