ਹਸਨਾ ਬੇਗਮ (ਜਨਮ 24 ਫਰਵਰੀ, 1935) ਇੱਕ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਢਾਕਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2000 ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਣ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੀ। 

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੀ. ਏ. (1968) ਅਤੇ ਐਮਏ (1969) ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਢਾਕਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਐਚ.ਡੀ (1978) ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਮੋਨਾਸ਼ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਪੀਟਰ ਸਿੰਗਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਬਣੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖੋਜ ਨਿਬੰਧ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਮੂਰ'ਸ ਐਥਿਕਸ: ਥਿਊਰੀ ਐਂਡ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟਿਸ ਸੀ।  ਬੇਗਮ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਲੇਖਿਕਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਸ਼ਾਹਕਾਰ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਗਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। 

ਬੇਗਮ ਢਾਕਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਫਿਲਾਸਫੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ 1991 ਤੋਂ 1994 ਤੱਕ ਮੁਖੀ ਰਹੀ। 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰੋਕੀਆ ਚੇਅਰ ਦੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ 1997 ਤੋਂ 2005 ਤੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ਼ ਬਾਓਐਥਿਕਸ (ਆਈਏਬੀ) ਦੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਬਾਓਐਥਿਕਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਉਬਾਓਸ ਜਰਨਲ ਆਫ਼ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਐਂਡ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਬਾਓਐਥਿਕਸ (EJAIB) ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹੈ।

ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਢਾਕਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ BA (1968) ਅਤੇ MA (1969) ਅਤੇ ਮੋਨਾਸ਼ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਐਚਡੀ (1978) ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਪੀਟਰ ਸਿੰਗਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਡਾਕਟਰੇਟ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਡਾਕਟੋਰਲ ਖੋਜ-ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਮੂਰਜ਼ ਐਥਿਕਸ: ਥਿਊਰੀ ਐਂਡ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟਿਸ ਸੀ। ਬੇਗਮ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤਮ ਲੇਖਕ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਦਾਰਸ਼ਨਿਕ ਕਲਾਸਿਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੰਗਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੇਗਮ ਨੇ 1991 ਤੋਂ 1994 ਤੱਕ ਢਾਕਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਲਾਸਫੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਚੇਅਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਅਤੇ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰੋਕੀਆ ਚੇਅਰ ਦੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ (ਯੂਜੀਸੀ) ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ 1997 ਤੋਂ 2005 ਤੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ਼ ਬਾਇਓਐਥਿਕਸ (IAB) ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਬੋਰਡ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ, ਬਾਇਓਐਥਿਕਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ Eubios ਜਰਨਲ ਆਫ਼ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਐਂਡ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਬਾਇਓਐਥਿਕਸ (EJAIB) ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ।

ਮੌਤ

ਬੇਗਮ ਦੀ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ 1 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2020 ਨੂੰ ਢਾਕਾ, ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਤੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਹ 85 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੀ।
