ਰਾਜਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਗਿੱਲ (ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ੀ: Rajvinder Kaur Gill) ਇੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਬੈਂਕਰ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਅਗਸਤ 2012 ਦੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗਾਇਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7] ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਅਖਬਾਰ "ਦ ਨੇਸ਼ਨ" ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਗਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ 5 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਸੀ।^[8]

ਗਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ 1999 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਆਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ 2006 ਤੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਇੰਪੀਰੀਅਲ ਬੈਂਕ ਆਫ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਵਿਟਜ਼ਰਲੈਂਡ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਬੈਂਕ ਫਰਮਾਂ ਮੈਰਿਲ ਲਿੰਚ, ਯੂਬੀਐਸ ਅਤੇ ਈਐਫਜੀ ਬੈਂਕ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਅਖਬਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਿੱਲ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।^[9]

ਉਸਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਗਿੱਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਡਾਟ ਕਾਮ ਨਾਮਕ ਇੱਕ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਡੇਟਿੰਗ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਉਸਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਰੋਮਾਂਟਿਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।^[10]^[11]

ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਘਾਤਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਘਾਤਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ 12 ਅਗਸਤ 2012 ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਈ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਵੀਜ਼ੇ ਲਈ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕੀਤਾ।^[12]

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਖਾਤੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਸਨ। ਕੁਝ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਹੋਰ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਖਾਤੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਰੋਮਾਂਟਿਕ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਖਾਤੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਰਤਨ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਖਰੀਦਣਾ ਸੀ।^[13]

ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਗਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ 'ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 26 ਅਤੇ 27 ਤਰੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਕਸਟ ਮੈਸੇਜ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੇ ਸੈੱਲ ਫੋਨ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਡੇਟਿੰਗ ਸਾਈਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ।

ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਉਸਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਦੇ ਕਬੂਲਨਾਮੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ 25 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ 'ਤੇ ਚੁੱਕਣ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਕਤਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਟ੍ਰਿਬਿਊਨ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ 31 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹੋਟਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਤੇ "ਕੁਝ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ " ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।^[14]

2017 ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੱਕ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਹਾਫਿਜ਼ ਸ਼ਹਿਜ਼ਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹਾਫਿਜ਼ ਸ਼ਹਿਜ਼ਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸਬੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।^[15]
