  • ਜੇਕਰ ਸੂਚੀ ਦਿਖ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ ਲੇਖ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ

  • ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਹੇਠ Add Links ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਓ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਲਿੱਕ ਕਰੋ
  • ਇਸਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਣ ’ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਬਕਸਾ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਬਕਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਆਗਤ-ਖੇਤਰ (input fields) ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

We are excited to announce that submission for session proposals has been opened for Wikimedia Wikimeet India 2021, the upcoming online wiki-event which is to be conducted from 19 – 21 February 2021 during the occasion of International Mother Language Day. The submission will remain open until 24 January 2021.

As part of the Small wiki toolkits (South Asia) initiative, we would like to inform you about the third workshop of this year on “Designing responsive main pages”. During this workshop, we will learn to design the main page of a wiki to be responsive. This will allow the pages to be mobile-friendly, by adjusting the width and the height according to various screen sizes. Participants are expected to have a good understanding of Wikitext/markup and optionally basic CSS.

As you may already know, the 2021 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees elections are from 4 August 2021 to 17 August 2021. Members of the Wikimedia community have the opportunity to elect four candidates to a three-year term. After a three-week-long Call for Candidates, there are 20 candidates for the 2021 election.

An event for community members to know and interact with the candidates is being organized. During the event, the candidates will briefly introduce themselves and then answer questions from community members. The event details are as follows:

  • Bangladesh: 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm
  • India & Sri Lanka: 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm
  • Nepal: 4:15 pm to 6:45 pm
  • Pakistan & Maldives: 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Live interpretation is being provided in Hindi.

It is the second iteration of Mahatma Gandhi mini edit-a-thon. The edit-a-thon will be on the same dates 2nd and 3rd October (Weekend). During the last iteration, we had created or developed or uploaded content related to Mahatma Gandhi. This time, we will create or develop content about Mahatma Gandhi and any article directly related to the Indian Independence movement. The list of articles is given on the event page. International Mother Language Day 2022 edit-a-thon

CIS-A2K announced International Mother Language Day edit-a-thon which is going to take place on 19 & 20 February 2022. The motive of conducting this edit-a-thon is to celebrate International Mother Language Day.

This time we will celebrate the day by creating & developing articles on local Wikimedia projects, such as proofreading the content on Wikisource, items that need to be created on Wikidata [edit Labels & Descriptions], some language-related content must be uploaded on Wikimedia Commons and so on. It will be a two-days long edit-a-thon to increase content about languages or related to languages. Anyone can participate in this event and editors can add their names here. Indic Hackathon | 20-22 May 2022 + Scholarships

We are happy to announce that the Indic MediaWiki Developers User Group will be organizing Indic Hackathon 2022, a regional event as part of the main Wikimedia Hackathon taking place in a hybrid mode during 20-22 May. The regional event will be an in-person event taking place in Hyderabad.

As it is with any hackathon, the event’s program will be semi-structured i.e. while we will have some sessions in sync with the main hackathon event, the rest of the time will be upto participants’ interest on what issues they are interested to work on. The event page can be seen at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Indic_Hackathon_2022.

We have full scholarships available to enable you to participate in the event, which covers travel, accommodation, food and other related expenses. The link to scholarships application form is available on the event page. The deadline is 23:59 hrs 17 April 2022.

WikiConference India 2023: Open Community Call and Extension of program and scholarship submissions deadline

Dear Wikimedian,

Thank you for supporting Wiki Conference India 2023. We are humbled by the number of applications we have received and hope to learn more about the work that you all have been doing to take the movement forward. In order to offer flexibility, we have recently extended our deadline for the Program and Scholarships submission- you can find all the details on our Meta Page.

COT is working hard to ensure we bring together a conference that is truly meaningful and impactful for our movement and one that brings us all together. With an intent to be inclusive and transparent in our process, we are committed to organizing community sessions at regular intervals for sharing updates and to offer an opportunity to the community for engagement and review. Following the same, we are hosting the first Open Community Call on the 3rd of December, 2022. We wish to use this space to discuss the progress and answer any questions, concerns or clarifications, about the conference and the Program/Scholarships.
