ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਨਿਗਮ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਕੀਲ, ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ, ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਨਿਗਮ ਬਨਾਮ ਲੈਂਡਮਾਰਕ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨਰ ਸੀ। ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਅਫਸਰ ਨੇ 17 ਮਈ 2016 ਨੂੰ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪਾਸਪੋਰਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।[1]

ਜੀਵਨੀ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਨਿਗਮ ਇੱਕ ਵਕੀਲ,[2] ਨਾਰੀਵਾਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ TEDx ਸਪੀਕਰ ਹੈ।[3]

ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ: ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਪਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਨਿਗਮ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਲੇਡੀ ਇਰਵਿਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਐਲਐਲਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਮੀਆ ਮਿਲੀਆ ਇਸਲਾਮੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮਏ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਜਾਮੀਆ ਮਿਲੀਆ ਇਸਲਾਮੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਵਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾਕਟਰੇਟ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਸੀ "ਖਪਤਕਾਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਐਕਟ, 1986 ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣਾ"[6]

ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫਾਰ ਵੂਮੈਨਜ਼ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪੋਸਟ-ਡਾਕਟੋਰਲ ਫੈਲੋਸ਼ਿਪ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਆਫ਼ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸੀ।[7]

ਉਹ ਪੀਪਲਜ਼ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਫਾਰ ਸਿਵਲ ਲਿਬਰਟੀਜ਼ (PUCL) ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜੁੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।[8][9] ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਸਨੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਾਖਰਤਾ, ਲਿੰਗ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ, ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ, ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਖੋਜ, ਪੈਰਾ ਲੀਗਲਜ਼ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ, ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ, ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਸੁਧਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ, ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਮਾਡਿਊਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਮੈਨੂਅਲ, ਕਿਤਾਬਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ[10]
