The new Delhi Police signage released amid the COVID-19 pandemic on 23 April 2020. It is also being used on Delhi Police social media accounts.[4][5] Also visible is the line "Jo dil se karen desh ka kaam" (transl. Delhi Police work for the country with all their heart).[4][5]

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਡੀਪੀ) ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ (NCT) ਲਈ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਹੈ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ (MHA) ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।[6][7] 2015 ਵਿੱਚ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਿਤ ਤਾਕਤ 84,536 ਸੀ (ਆਈ.ਆਰ. ਬਟਾਲੀਅਨਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ) ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਮੈਟਰੋਪੋਲੀਟਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਬਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।[6][8] ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਲਗਭਗ 25% ਤਾਕਤ ਵੀਆਈਪੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।[9]

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਹੈੱਡਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਜੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਰਗ, ਕਨਾਟ ਪਲੇਸ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਜਨਵਰੀ 2019 ਤੱਕ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ 15 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ, ਹਰੇਕ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਇੱਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਆਫ਼ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਡੀਸੀਪੀ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
