ਜੀਵਨ[ਸੋਧੋ]

ਮਹਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਕਸੀਲੋਫੇਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਪੰਜ ਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।[6]

ਸਨਮ ਕਰਾਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ[7][8] ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਟ੍ਰਿਬਿਊਨ,[9] ਡਾਨ,[10] ਅਲ-ਜਜ਼ੀਰਾ, ਦ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼, ਬਜ਼ਫੀਡ, ਦਿ ਗਾਰਡੀਅਨ, ਦ ਸਕ੍ਰੌਲ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਡਜ਼ ਐਂਡ ਕਿੰਗਡਮਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਸਨਮ ਨੇ ਦਸ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ, ਵਪਾਰਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਣਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖੇ ਹਨ।[11][12] ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ, ਸਨਮ ਨੇ ਟੈਲੀਵਿਜ਼ਨ 'ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਖੈਬਰ ਪਖਤੂਨਖਵਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਰ ਕੀਤਾ।[13][14][15] ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੇਰਾਲਡ ਅਤੇ ਦ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਟ੍ਰਿਬਿਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਦ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਡੈਸਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।[16][17] 2015 ਤੋਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਫ੍ਰੀਲਾਂਸ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।[18]

2018 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਨਮ ਨੇ BBOD ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮੀਨ ਓਬੈਦ-ਚਿਨਾਏ ਦੀ SOC ਆਊਟਰੀਚ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ 'ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।[25][26] "ਨੌਲਿਜ ਇਜ਼ ਬੁਲੇਟਪਰੂਫ਼" ਸ਼ਾਜ਼ੀਆ ਰਮਜ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਇਨਾਤ ਰਿਆਜ਼ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਹੈ, 2012 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਲਾਲਾ ਯੂਸਫਜ਼ਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ[27] ਅਗਸਤ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ, 'ਨੌਲਿਜ ਇਜ਼ ਬੁਲੇਟਪਰੂਫ਼' ਨੇ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ, AD ਸਟਾਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ 1 ਗੋਲਡ, 5 ਸਿਲਵਰ ਅਤੇ 7 ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਜਿੱਤੇ।

2020 ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਨਮ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਾਤਿਮਾ ਭੁੱਟੋ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸਟੇਅ ਹੋਮ, ਸਟੇਅ ਰੀਡਿੰਗ ਨਾਮਕ ਇੱਕ ਪਹਿਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ।[28] ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਰੀਡਿੰਗ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਸ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।[29] ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[30][31][32]
