ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਹੈ, ਜੋ 2006 ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਬੀ ਨਗਰ ਜੈਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਹਿਤਕਾਰ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਲ 2015 ਦੇ ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਹੀਦਾ ਰਹਿਮਾਨ, ਨਸੀਰੂਦੀਨ ਸ਼ਾਹ, ਗਿਰੀਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾਡ, ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ, ਬਸ਼ਰਤ ਪੀਰ, ਰੰਗਮੰਚ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਟਿਮ ਸਪਲ, ਜਾਵੇਦ ਅਖ਼ਤਰ, ਪਰਸੂਨ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ, ਅਨੂਪਮਾ ਚੋਪੜਾ, ਸ਼ਬਾਨਾ ਆਜ਼ਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ-ਸੰਗੀਤ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਨ

ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਮੇਲੇ 2015 ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ”ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ” ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਬਹਿਸ ਹੋਈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ‘ਤੇ ਨਿੱਠ ਕੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ”ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ” ਦਾ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਇਹ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਲਿਖਣ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਹੱਦ ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ ਦੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਪੇਰੂਮੱਲ ਮੁਰੂਗਨ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ”ਕੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਵਣਜ ਨੇ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ” ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਸਤੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਬਲਕਿ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਲੇਖਕ ਨਯਨਤਾਰਾ ਸਹਿਗਲ, ਤਾਮਿਲ ਲੇਖਕ ਸੀ. ਐਸ. ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ, ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਮਾਰਕ ਟੱਲੀ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਕ ਕਾਰਥੀਕਾ ਵੀ. ਕੇ. ਨੇ ”ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ” ਖਤਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਅਕਸਰ ਹੀ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਹਿਣਸ਼ੀਲ ਵਤੀਰੇ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਗੀਤਕਾਰ ਪਰਸੂਨ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਨਯਨਤਾਰਾ ਸਹਿਗਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੂੰ ”ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਹਤ” ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਉਹ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਪਾਰ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਜੀਵਨ ‘ਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਥਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਬਲਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਿਆਸਤ, ਵਿਆਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਵਣਜ ਭਾਰੂ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ”ਅੱਜ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਹੀ ਪੈਣਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚਾਰਧਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਾਉਣ ‘ਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਚ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਨਾ ਟੇਕੀਏ।” ਤਾਮਿਲ ਨਾਵਲਕਾਰ ਮੁਰੂਗਨ ਨੇ 13 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ‘ਤੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਵਲ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸੀ. ਐਸ. ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ, ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਹੀ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਦੇ ”ਲਿਖਣ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ” ਲਈ ਖਤਰਾ ਬਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਪਏਗਾ ਕਿ ਕਮਰਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ‘ਚ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਣਗੀਆਂ। ਮਾਰਕ ਟੱਲੀ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਬੋਲਣ ਜਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਅਨਸਰਾਂ’ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਲ੍ਹ ਆਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ‘ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ’ ਦੇ ਅਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਇਸੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਪੜਨ ਦੇ ਲੁਤਫ਼’ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਕਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੰਚ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਏ ਨਾਟਕ-ਲੇਖਕ, ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਵੀ ਗਿਰੀਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾਡ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਨੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਦਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਰਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਸਲ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ’ਚ ਜੋ ਲੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਿਰੂਮ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਮੇਲੇ ’ਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਲਦ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਪੇਪਰ ਬੈਕ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦਾ ਰਿਵਾਜ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਟੇਬਲੈਂਟ ਜਾਂ ਆਈਪੈਡ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੰਬੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਰਨਾਡ ਦੇ ਕੰਨੜ ’ਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਨਾਟਕ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਬੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਝੀ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੌਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਉਹ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈਆਂ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਏ ਪੀ ਜੇ ਅਬਦੁਲ ਕਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਵੈਜੀਵਨੀ ਵਿੰਗਜ਼ ਆਫ ਫਾਇਰ ਦੀ ਆਡੀਓ ਪੁਸਤਕ ’ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਨਾਡ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਰੋਮਾਂਚਕ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅਸਲ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਦਾਬਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਈ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ, ਦੂਜਾ ਅਸਲ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੰਣ ਰਹਾਓ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਉਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ’ਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਿੰਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਜਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। 77 ਸਾਲਾ ਬਹੁਪੱਖੀ ਕਰਨਾਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਣ-ਸਨਮਾਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਰਾਏ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਸਮਝ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਟਵਿੱਟਰ ਤੇ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਤਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਲਤ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਏਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਬਚਪਨ ’ਚ ਉਹ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 7 ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਦਿਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਵਿਹਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਦੋਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਾਂ ਅਸ਼ਲੀਲ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ| ਗਿਰੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਮਖੌਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਖੂਬ ਪੜਿਆ।

ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲਿਮਕਾ ਬੁੱਕ ਆਫ ਰਿਕਾਰਡਜ਼ ਨੇ ਲੇਖਣੀ ‘ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅੰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਵਲਕਾਰ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੇਤ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੱਲ 15 ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਜ ਲਿਮਕਾ ਬੁੱਕ ਦਾ 26ਵਾਂ ਅੰਕ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ 15 ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਪੀਪਲ ਆਫ ਦਿ ਯੀਅਰ’ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ 15 ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਵੇਤਾ ਦੇਵੀ (ਬੰਗਾਲੀ), ਨਾਮਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਹਿੰਦੀ), ਕੁੰਵਰ ਨਰਾਇਣ (ਹਿੰਦੀ), ਨਿਦਾ ਫਾਜ਼ਲੀ (ਉਰਦੂ), ਸੀਤਾ ਕੰਤ ਮਹਾਪਾਤਰਾ (ਉੜੀਆ), ਰਹੀਮ ਰਾਹੀ (ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰੀ), ਰਸਕਿਨ ਬੌਂਡ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ), ਨਯਨਤਾਰਾ ਸਹਿਗਲ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ), ਵਾਸੂਦੇਵਨ ਨਾਇਰ (ਮਲਿਆਲਮ), ਲਕਸ਼ਮਣ ਸੀ. ਗਾਇਕਵਾੜ (ਮਰਾਠੀ), ਸੀ.ਐਸ. ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ (ਤਾਮਿਲ), ਚੰਦਰ ਸ਼ੇਖਰ ਕਾਂਬਰ (ਕੰਨੜ), ਅਮਿਤ ਘੋਸ਼ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ), ਨਾਗੇਨ ਸੈਕੀਆ, (ਅਸਾਮੀਆ) ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ‘ਪੀਪਲ ਆਫ ਦਿ ਯੀਅਰ’ ਲਈ ਜਿਊਰੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਐਚ ਕੇ ਦੁਆ, ਹਾਰਪਰ ਕੋਲਿਨਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਕ ਕਾਰਤਿਕਾ ਵੀ ਕੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਕਾਡਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਿਵਾਸਰਾਓ ਤੇ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਮਾਰਕ ਟੱਲੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।

ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਮੇਲੇ 2015 ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਫਿਲਮ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾ ਵਹੀਦਾ ਰਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਰੂਬਰੂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਪਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ| ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਵਹੀਦਾ ਰਹਿਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ 1956 ’ਚ ‘ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਡੀ.’ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ’ਚ ਪੈਰ ਧਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੜੀ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ’ਚ ਉਹ ਦੇਵ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਗੁਰੂਦੱਤ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ। ਗੁਰੂਦੱਤ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ’ਚ ਵਹੀਦਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਇਕ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਜੈਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ‘‘ਮੁਝੇ ਜੀਨੇ ਦੋ: ਵਹੀਦਾ ਰਹਿਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਵਾਦ’’ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨਸਰੀਨ ਮੁੰਨੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਤੇ ਅਰਸ਼ੀਆ ਸੱਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਵਹੀਦਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂਦੱਤ ਤੇ ਸੀ.ਆਈ. ਡੀ. ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਰਾਜ ਖੋਸਲਾ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਮਧੂ ਬਾਲਾ, ਮੀਨਾ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਿਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਦਲੇ ਸਨ. ਇਹ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ‘ਵਹੀਦਾ ਰਹਿਮਾਨ’ ਨਾਮ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ। ਵਹੀਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ‘ਮੈਂ ਅੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੀ।’ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂਦੱਤ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਖੋਸਲਾ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਨਵਾਂ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਮਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਬੋਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ। 76 ਸਾਲਾ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂਦੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਹ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਰੀਟੇਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਸੀਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਸੀਨ ਹੋਣ ’ਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਕਸਰ ਆਖਦੇ ‘ਔਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ।’ ਰਹਿਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਸੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ 50-50 ਰੀਟੇਕ ਵੀ ਹੋਏ। ਪਿਆਸਾ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੀਨ ਦੇ 76 ਰੀਟੇਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸੀ। ਗੁਰੂਦੱਤ ਤੇ ਸੱਤਿਆਜੀਤ ਰੇਅ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਹੀਦਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਰੇਅ ਬੜੇ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਰੀਟੇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਰੀਟੇਕ ਕਰਨੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਭਾਰਤ, ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਈ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਈ। ਸਾਹਿਤ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ, ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੈਨਲ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਰੌਂਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਭਰਵੀਂ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਖੁਰਸ਼ੀਦ ਕਸੂਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਆਸ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ’ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦਕਿ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਫੀਰ ਜੀ. ਪਾਰਥਾਸਾਰਥੀ ਨੇ ‘ਸਰਹੱਦ ’ਤੇ ਫਾਇਰਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਲ੍ਹ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਣ’ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਰਥ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ੋਰ ’ਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ, ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਮੱਧ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਕਈ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਲਿਖ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਨੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਤਾਲਿਬਾਨ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ’ਤੇ ਦਬਾਅ ਪਾਏਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਫਗਾਨੀ ਤਾਲਿਬਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
