ਤਾਮਿਲ ਨਾਡੂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੂਬਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਚੇਨੱਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਮਿਲ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਹਿਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦੁਰਈ, ਤਰਿਚੀ, ਕੋਇੰਬਤੂਰ, ਸਲੇਮ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰੂਨੇਲਵੇਲੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਆਂਡੀ ਸੂਬੇ ਆਂਧਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਰਲਾ ਹਨ। ਇਸਦਾ ਖੇਤਰਫਲ 1,30,058 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹਾਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜੈ ਲਲਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਹਨ।
